1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

a. Information you provide to us: - Fitting information — the answers you give in our fitting questionnaire, such as your swing speed, ball flight, feel and spin preferences, skill level, where you tend to miss shots, and budget. - Round information — details you choose to log about your rounds (such as ball flight, greenside behavior, and feel) to refine your recommendations. - Contact information — your email address, if you sign up for price-drop alerts, create an account, or contact us. - Account information — if we offer accounts, your login credentials and profile details.

b. Information collected automatically: - Usage data — how you interact with the Service (pages/screens viewed, features used, taps/clicks, and time spent). - Device and technical data — device type, operating system, browser type, app version, language, and general location inferred from IP address. - Crash and error reports — if the app crashes or encounters an error, an automatic report is sent to Sentry, our error-monitoring provider. These reports include device type, operating system version, app version, and technical details about the error. Sentry is configured not to collect personal identifiers, screenshots, or the contents of your screen. - Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 6.

c. Payment information: If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not collect or store your full payment card details. We may receive limited transaction information (such as confirmation of a purchase or subscription status).

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to: - Provide the core fitting service and generate and personalize your golf ball recommendations; - Save and refine your fitting over time based on rounds you log; - Send you price-drop alerts and other communications you request; - Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service; - Process and manage subscriptions; - Respond to your inquiries and provide support; - Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues; - Comply with legal obligations.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:

• Service providers. We use third-party providers to operate the Service, including Supabase (database and hosting), Resend (email delivery), and Sentry (crash and error reporting). These providers process information on our behalf and are permitted to use it only to provide services to us.
• Affiliate networks and retailers. The Service contains affiliate links to third-party retailers. When you click a link or make a purchase, the retailer and its affiliate network (such as Amazon Associates, Impact, and others we may add over time) may collect information as described in their own privacy policies, and may set cookies to attribute purchases to us. We may receive commission and aggregate reporting on resulting sales. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.
• App stores and payment processors. Apple and Google process subscription payments and share limited transaction data with us.
• Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Golf Ball IQ, our users, or others.
• Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Affiliate disclosure

Golf Ball IQ participates in affiliate programs. This means we may earn a commission when you purchase products through links on the Service, at no additional cost to you. Our product recommendations are generated by our fitting model based on your inputs and are not determined by affiliate relationships or paid placement.

6. Cookies and tracking technologies

We and our partners use cookies, local storage, SDKs, and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, measure usage, and — for affiliate partners — attribute purchases. You can control cookies through your browser or device settings; disabling them may affect how the Service functions.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. You may request deletion of your information as described in Section 8.

8. Your rights and choices

Wherever you live, you may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, receive a copy of it, or opt out of marketing communications. We do not sell your personal information.

• Delete your data. You can delete your account and associated data from within the app's settings, or by emailing support@mygolfballiq.com.
• Marketing emails. You can unsubscribe using the link in any such email.
• Regional rights. Residents of some regions (such as California and the EEA/UK) may have additional rights under local law, including the right to know, correct, delete, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us at support@mygolfballiq.com and we will help you exercise them.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International users

We are based in the United States, and your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries that may have different data protection laws than your own.
